Consultation Survey (Open until 20 October 2024)

We want your prayerful consideration of what criteria we would like for the next Archbishop of Melbourne

The survey is designed to enable you to provide insights that will help to shape the selection criteria and priorities, and to express views in a range of categories.

  1. Taking a Snapshot of Contributors – demographic questions that tell us about you as a responder to the survey.

  2. Exploring Hopes – 4 rapid fire questions to help us understand what you hope the future can be.

  3. Exploring Key Selection Criteria – considers the strengths, qualities and experience you would seek in the new Archbishop.

    • Spiritual leadership as Chief Pastoral Shepherd

    • Theological thought leadership

    • Strategic direction and change

    • Leadership style and engagement in decision-making

    • Leadership qualities demonstrated in relational engagement

    • Leadership emphasis or approach

    • Leadership in creating culture

    • Demonstrated strengths at a senior level of leadership

    • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and expertise

The Anglican Diocese of Melbourne is a place where the dignity of each person is recognised, respected and fostered and is committed to ensuring the safety of vulnerable persons, particularly children. In line with this commitment to child safety, the Diocese has put in place policies and procedures to uphold the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
